Before we start

We are officially starting to read on Wednesday, October 28th.  But...before you start reading, I would like you to access yourself in regards to the effect food is having on your soul.  Please see the image below and take the assessment.  Where do you rank?  Has this opened your eyes to anything new?  Feel free to share your answers to the group discussion questions if you feel comfortable.  Please read the story of the Rich Young Man in Matthew 19:16-26.  Consider if Jesus was talking about food rather than riches.  Would this story then apply to you?  

Homework for Wednesday:  Read the Introduction and Chapter 1. Highlight important points as you 
read. Look up the Bible verses.

    Doing great, All re-read and answered questions and did the assessment as well as read the verse. I think your timing is perfect, don't second guess yourself

    I would be glad to share On the assessment
    - I am reluctant to bring the issue to god(This is because I did it to myself, and sometimes it is hard to give to god what we think we can handle)
    - I eat for emotional reasons ( I know food is where I have always turned it never talks back and is always plentiful, heck 99 cents gets me a mc donalds fruit pie, during emotionally draining ties this has been my default.
    - I think I will always struggle with this issue ( Just like anything that affects us death, your car gets broken into etc... it will always affect me but daily I know that I have the choice and option to battle it.
    Keep moving towards God ladies have a a beautiful day I will log in tomorrow.

    Frog....may I ask who you are? I have lots of ladies not understanding the blog format and think I may have to go back to the Facebook Group format. I want to be sure I include you in the invites if I can figure out who you are.
